Letter from Mrs. Hutchins
May 10, 2023
Greetings BCA families,
It is with great joy and excitement that I write a second letter of this sort to you. The first letter I wrote was on the heels of the announcement of my role as Interim Head of School. I can’t believe that was over a year ago. Much has happened this school year and I am grateful for the opportunity the Lord has provided for me to continue to serve BCA and to be able to continue this journey with you.
I am appreciative of the board’s kind words of support in their announcement. They have spent many long days and nights on the Head of School search. Board members, thank you for your dedication to BCA and for taking your time with this process prayerfully. I am looking forward to continuing our work together. Thank you.
Parents, I am also appreciative of the congratulations and expressions of support I have received from many of you. I look forward to continuing doing school life together and getting to know you more and more. It is a delight to partner with you and a joy to spend my days with your children. Thank you.
Teachers and staff, I can not thank you enough for who you’ve been and continue to be for BCA, for each other, and for me. Your love for the Lord shines through your service here. Your love for Him is reflected in the love and care you have for the lives that walk through our doors. It is remarkable. I know that you are able to love like you do because you are walking with the Helper. Thank you.
BCA, each of us have a certain level of loyalty and support that is played out here, and it is a beautiful work to get to witness and to be a part of. Nevertheless, let’s always remember what has kept our school going and where our trust remains- in our providential God who upholds, directs, disposes, and governs all creatures, actions, and things. As believers, we can always rest in His plan for our future. So, as we say “goodbye” to this school year, “hello” to summer, and “see you soon” to the next school year, let’s boast in the Lord always and keep our eyes, hearts, and minds set on things eternal.
Soli Deo Gloria, Andrea Hutchins
